I just got back from playing Chamber Strings for Back To School Night. Heh. It was actually a lot of fun. We mostly sight-read a lot of pieces, mostly Bach. I think we're going to be a kick-butt group this year. w00t. Oooh and there were cider donuts and cider, which I think was spiked...The school was trying to make sure that our parents actually liked our teachers/classes. haha. No, probably not. :-p
hahahaha. I love hanging out with musical alumni. Oh we always burst into spontaneous songs from past musicals. ^_^
I am dead tired. 'Nighty 'night.

So, I have Hadyn's "Creation" and Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" stuck in my head.
Help.
So, let's see what's new. Life is good pretty much; just a little stressful and overwhelming.
I think I'm going to Jersey for a college visit this weekend! ^_^ That makes me happy.

I hope you all talked like a pirate today for International Talk Like A Pirate Day. ^_^
"Arrrrrrrghhhhhh c-flat major-minor second inversion seventh chords. Yarrrrrrrrrrrr..." Talking like a pirate makes music theory sound better for some reason.
I am pretty sure that by the end of the year, college stuff will either kill me or drive me insane. O_O;;
Ay dios mios. Well, they say it eventually falls into place. I hope really hope it does soon.

Last night, I went to the Courtyard Dance. As usual, it was not held in the courtyard, due to the wet, squishy ground; but was in the New Gym. Wow, it was so freakin' hot in there. Britney, Courtney, and I were smokin' hot the whole night because 1.) We're gorgeous. haha. and 2.) We were dancing the whole time. Katelyn, Tin, Patience, Temple, Johnny,Allie, and the most of the gang were there too. HEY STEVE, LET'S DANCE! 'Twas a pretty fun night, despite the fact that Johnny (different Johnny) broke up with Britney and she was a little dizzy from not eating and being emotionally distressed at first. I hope she's ok now. Poor thing. So then, Britney and Courtney left a little early and then everyone else disappeared. Then, it was just me and some acquantences. Note to self: Don't dance. lol.
I also got my transcript yesterday. I think I've had a pretty successful high school career. I just need to add my honors/awards on my transcript, I believe. Nice.
First CDYC rehearsal today! Wow, I feel so old now. It's from fourth grade to twelveth grade but still, I've been a member for almost seven years, I think. We're going to be a pretty kick-but choir this year.
Turns out, I have a little cold. Ew. >.< No wonder I felt icky when I woke up yesterday. My head was pounding and I was stuffed up. Oh well.

I hear that our show for this year is "Beauty and the Beast". That sounds pretty cool. I'll confirm this for sure on Friday.

New briefs!
-The Warrior server died today, along with InDesign. R.I.P. Now, we have no newspaper issue this week. You have no idea how sad I am. *tear*
-I drove home with Dad today; the ultimate road test. He said I did well but I need to work on the touch of my foot. Hmmm.
-College searching is still exhausting. I still hope it's going to be worth all the time and effort.
Stay tuned for more updates later.
:-)

I believe you have my stapler!
Soooo, the day started out alright; I was rushing in the morning and then left my purse on the bus. No worries, however, because I called the bus garage and it was nicely returned to me during homeroom.
Oh fun times today. The rest of the day was pretty good. I was almost late for gym after Tina, Katelyn, and I went to lunch but I'm a smooth criminal and got changed and ready to run the mile in no time. Ugh, that sucked. I hate running. I can't breathe and my chest kills me when I run. Oh well, I did the best I could.
I got to play first violin in orchestra. Huzzah for Tchaikovsky's Second Symphony Finale.
There's a footnall game tonight. GO WARRIORS! woohoo.

Today was the second first day of school because we have block scheduling.
American Public Affairs (Political Science 103) with Sharkey is going to be awesome! Health shouldn't awful at all beucase of Allix, Katelyn, and Ashley. Oh and Chamber Strings was great because I got to play a section solo when we sight-read Vivaldi's Autumn. ^_^ I can't believe there are only five people in my music theory class. Far out, man. Concert Chorale is going to DC!!!! Plus, we're singing Alexander Nevsky in RUSSIAN! how freakin' cool is that?
Ooooh, I think I'm a happy Laura. I'm afraid, however, that that happiness will fade quickly when I have to run the mile in gym. >.< Ew. Oh well, three or two and a half laps are better than four laps, right?

Well, here I am again; happy, healthy, and excited for senior year. Actually, I'm not that excited about the stress and anxiety from college applications and auditions that accompanies this coming year; not much I can do about it except make the best of it.
I think it is also time to enjoy life a little more freely and have confidence. Yes, I believe this has been over due.
