..but I'm moving on.
I'll wait for a while and we'll try to figure things out.
It hurts, but I'm still here.
I survived.
There is so much more in life, but I still feel an empty space that I wish he could fill again.
Still, I must go on.
Happy Halloween, by the way.

Autumn is a really crappy time for seniors. Thre's way too many deadlines that are so close together that it's hard for one not to be stressed out. Things are always changing. I'm changing. I'm becoming more responsible, more aware, and more concerned with my future.
All will be settled soon enough, at least by Christmas.
Good luck to all other seniors going through this.

Earlier this evening, I happened to catch the last 10 minutes of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" on tv. Sure, I've read the books from top to bottom and seen the movies at least 13243289479324 time each, but there was something about one of the last things that Albus Dumbledore told Harry when Harry discovered he had similar attributes that qualify him for the house of Slytherin,
****Harry: "I told the Sorting Hat not to put me in Slytherin."
Dumbledore: "Exactly. That is the one difference between you and Lord Voldemort. You chose your values and your fate. You chose to do good."
****NOTE: I'm not quoting exactly. You'll have to forgive me for that, but you get the basic gist of things.
After I heard that, I was like, "HOMAIGAH! NO EXIT! EXISTENTIALISM! EEK! IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE."
Thank you, JK Rowling. Thank you for summing up existentialism in a nut shell. haha.

Yes, I'm back!
Well here's how the trip went:
Getting to Rochester was easy. Navigating the city was an utter pain in the ass because of all the one way streets and construction. Other than that, it's a lovely city. When Mom and I first arrived, we met up with Kevin. He showed me around his school, RIT, and one of his experimental films, which was really good.
In the evening, Mom and I checked out the Eastman School of Music at U of R. It's a conservatory right in the middle of Rochester. It may be one of the best schools in the nation for music, but I'm not sure at the moment if the vocal department is as amazing as the instrumental department. I'll have to check that out some more. In general, te school had awesome facilities, nice people, and a big focus on contemporary/avant-garde music. Cool. Eastman later hosted a music college fair, where I touched base with otehr schools I'm applying to.
Oh man, we were so damn lost getting back to our hotel. Eventually, we found it and went out for dinner, where I got sick. >.< Ick, other than that, lovely evening and lovely hotel.
This morning, Mom and I checked out the U of R river campus, which is absolutely huge and amazing in general. Later, we took a tour of Nazareth and had an interview with an admissions person. That is one excellent school; friendly, clean, top-notch facilities and professors. I really like it there.
Ooh, and we found the BEST pizza place in the world, which is located in the lovely 'burb of Pittsford. Yummy calzones!
So here I am back at home, reading "No Exit" for tomorrow morning. Oh brother.

Louder than Words-from the musical Tick, Tick, Boom.
Jonathan:
Why do we play with fire?
Why do we run our finger through the flame?
Why do we leave our hand on the stove-
Although we know we're in for some pain?
Oh, why do we refuse to hang a light
When the streets are dangerous?
Why does it take an accident
Before the truth gets through to us?
Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?
Ask the birds.
Fear or love, baby?
Don't say the answer
Actions speak louder than words.
Michael:
Why should we try to be our best
When we can just get by and still gain?
Why do we nod our heads
Michael and Jonathan:
Although we know
Michael:
The boss is wrong as rain?
Jonathan:
Why should we blaze a trail
When the well worn path seems safe and
Jonathan and Susan:
So inviting?
Susan:
How-as we travel, can we
Susan and Jonathan:
See the dismay-
And keep from fighting?
Jonathan:
Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?
Ask the birds
Michael and Susan:
Cages or wings?
Ah...
All:
Fear or love, baby?
Don't say the answer
Jonathan
Actions speak louder than words
Michael and Susan:
Louder than, louder than
Jonathan:
What does it take
To wake up a generation?
All:
How can you make someone
Take off and fly?
Jonathan
If we don't wake up
And shake up the nation
We'll eat the dust of the world
Wondering why
Michael and Susan:
Why
Susan
Why do we stay with lovers
Susan and Jonathan:
Who we know, down deep
Susan:
Just aren't right?
Jonathan:
Why would we rather
All:
Put ourselves through hell
Than sleep alone at night?
Jonathan:
Why do we follow leaders who never lead?
Michael:
Why does it take catastrophe to start a revolution?
Michael and Susan
If we're so free, tell me why?
Jonathan:
Someone tell me why
So many people bleed?
Jonathan:
Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?
Ask the birds.
Michael and Susan:
Cages or wings?
Ah...
All:
Fear or love, baby?
Don't say the answer.
Jonathan:
Actions speak louder than
Michael and Susan:
Louder than, louder than
Louder than, louder than
All:
Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?
Jonathan:
Ask the birds
Michael and Susan:
Ah...
All:
Fear or love baby?
Don't say the answer
Jonathan:
Actions speak louder than
Michael and Susan:
Louder than, louder than, ooh
Jonathan:
They speak louder
Actions speak louder than...
Michael and Susan:
Louder than, louder than, aah

I retook the SATs today. YAY I'LL NEVER HAVE TO TAKE THEM EVER AGAIN!
I really hope I did well. That would be pretty sweet if I did better than I thought. I'm so worried that I did poorly, although I do doubt that I did when I think about it.
Oh man. I'm sitting here home alone, vegging out on the computer because I'm so beat after that 3 hour and 45 minute monster of a test. The ETS now stands for "Evil Testing Slug". haha.
Hmm, so I'm learning how to play Jazz and Pop songs on the piano. Chyeah, man and I've only had about eight lessons or so. Sweet. I'm thinking about having a piano/voice number at my senior recital, possibly violin as well. It won't just be sining, kids.
Mrraaaaaah, I better hear from Kevin soon. I have no idea what's going on tonight with the whole film party thing. He came home with a crew and is probably currently filming in town park or something. :-p
Weeeee. That's all folks.

Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical Intelligence |
Every part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes. You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time. You are probably a gifted musician of some sort - even if you haven't realized it. Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds.
You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer. |

I officially do not have braces. :-D I am soooo happy. It's funny because I never knew I had such a beautiful smile.
Oh, and there are lot more things to smile about than I thought there were. So, take a moment today, think about something good, and smile. It's contagious, but good for you. ^_^

Today was a good day! The school part of my day consisting of discussions, music making and just hanging out with cool people.
I got to lead a sectional again for Concert Chorale! I really like the idea of conducting an ensemble. Thus, I'm beginning to seriously consider music education. w00t.
Ooooh Chinese buffeeeetttttttt. Delicious! Tina's niece Ashley and her nephew, Alex, are soooo cuuute. I serenaded a Furby in the restaurant and embarrassed myself in front of the entire student body. LOL! What fun!
I have lots of cool pictures to share, but I"l upload them later. You'll just have to wait. Ciao!

I visited Westminster Choir College at Rider University yesterday. ^_^ I really liked the professional and personal atmosphere, not to mention the supberb credentials of the faculty. We'll see what happens. Oh and after my visit, I went to Princeton University because Westminster is literally two blocks away from PU.
Pictures?

That's Westminster

And that's Princeton University.
During my tour of Westminster, however, my throat and glands swelled up and I hhad trouble standing. This continued during my tour of PU and on the four hour drive home. >.< So now, I'm sick. Yay. I should be back in school tomorrow.
